Boys Rocket Football Committee

Previously, all Boys Rocket Football coordination has been the responsibility of a single Football Coordinator. The Board believes that this is too much for one person to take on. We are looking for three people to form a committee to share responsibilities (this has worked very well for our Volleyball program). Below is a suggested breakdown of responsibilities:
(activities described below are for 56er and 78er teams)

Personnel Coordinator (committee head): This person would be responsible for Coaches, Players, and interactions with Parents. This is probably the biggest activity and would require heavy involvement at the first few weeks of practice, regular attendance at practices and games. Common activities would be finding coaches, player registration, team makeup, monitoring coaches, handling parent comments/issues, game day Field Director, proper rules enforcement, etc. This activity will begin in July & August and carry throughout the entire season. Significant football knowledge required.

Scheduler Coordinator: This person would schedule games, fields, parks, officials, volunteers and budget. This is a lot of work in the July and August timeframe with minimal activities during the season itself. Some football knowledge is required.

Equipment Coordinator: This person would be responsible for all the football equipment. This includes the organization, distribution, repair or replacement, equipment exchange, transportation of game equipment to games, and the collection of all football equipment. The majority of effort is focused on the early season (end of Aug through mid Sept.) game days and the end of the season (end of Oct). Some football knowledge is required.

Bill Reits (Football Coordinator for the past three years) will be available to advise, assist and oversee as necessary.
